1. Question Types at edyoucated
We distinguish between self-assessment questions, knowledge review questions and final exams & quizzes.
Self-assessment questions
These questions are used for assessment, which is relevant for the personalization of adaptive learning paths. They are asked at the beginning of the learning path and determine which atoms are displayed in the learning path. Each atom can have only one of these questions.
Knowledge review questions
These questions are classic quiz questions that you can attach to an atom. These are displayed after all the materials associated with the atom have been completed. An atom can have an unlimited number of these questions.
Final Exams and Quizzes
Final exams and Quizzes can be integrated into learning paths to assess the knowledge acquired by learners. They can consist of various question types with any number of questions.
2. Self-Assessment Question Creation
You can only work on these questions in the atom. (Learn more about atoms here)
These questions are asked at the beginning of adaptive learning paths and the answers determine which atoms are displayed in the learning path. (A maximum of 5 questions are asked at a time in the learning path).
Each atom has only one self-assessment question.
Please note: If you do not add a question here, the default wording is "Are you familiar with [atom name]".
If you want to skip an atom in the self-assessment and always use it in the learning paths instead, you can specify this under additional settings in the detailed view of the atom.
3. Knowledge Review Question Creation in the Atom
You can create these classic quizzes either directly during the creation of atoms in the skill taxonomy or in the Standard Learning Path Builder.
The procedure for creating questions is similar in all cases: first select the type of question. For questions created in the atom, choose from the dropdown:
4. Final Exam and Quizzes Question Creation in the Learning Path Builder
In the Standard Learning Path, add a content block choosing the desired format. For more information on creating and customizing learning paths, click here.

6. Working with the AI-Assistant
When creating questions, you can also get help from the edyoucated AI assistant. This assistant is available both during the question creation process directly in the Atom as well as in the learning path editor. To access it, click on (1) Magic Generate when creating questions.
When creating questions directly in the Atom, the material used there serves as the foundation for the AI. You can have the knowledge review (1) regenerated, (2) discarded, or you can (3) save it.
In course editing, you can choose between copied text content, PDF files, or previously created material blocks. The AI will then generate questions based on the material you've selected.
You can (1) edit these questions or have them regenerated by clicking on (2) Try again.
