How can I cut a YouTube video so that only a part of the video will be shown to learners?
How can I cut a YouTube video so that only a part of the video will be shown to learners?
You can define a start
and end
parameter for YouTube links to control which part of the video will be played when learners access the material within a learning path.
Let's say this is the regular URL of your YouTube video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7bYgoHks3E
Let's assume the video should start at 1:30 and end at 3:40. This can be achieved by adding &start=1m30s&end=3m40s
at the end of the URL:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7bYgoHks3E&start=1m30s&end=3m40s
If you just want to change the start or the end of the video (and not both), just leave out the other parameter, for example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7bYgoHks3E&start=1m30s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7bYgoHks3E&end=3m40s
