Accessing your skills

When you click on the Skills entry in the left-hand navigation, you will be directed to the Your skills page. This page provides a hierarchical overview of all the skills for which you have rated at least one chapter. If you haven’t rated any chapters yet, this section will be empty.

Exploring the skill library

The skill library displays a hierarchical structure of all skills available within your organization. This allows you to explore and select skills that you've mastered already (at least partly).

There are two ways to open the skill library:

  1. If you are on the Your skills page, click the Find skills button located at the top right.

  2. You can also access the skill library by first clicking on Skills in the left main navigation, and then on Skill library.

Use the search field above the skill library to find specific skills by entering a keyword. Moreover, you can click on a skill to expand the underlying chapters.

Rating your skills

You can rate your proficiency in specific chapters of a skill using a scale from 1 to 5, where the levels are defined as Aware, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. The level of the chapter rating will influence your learning recommendations.

Tip: You can set or update your self-rating directly within the tree view or by selecting a chapter to open the sidebar, where you can adjust your rating. Ratings can only be set on chapter level, not on skill level.

View learning recommendations

The platform provides recommended learning resources to help you improve your skills. Recommendations are tailored to the specific skill or chapter you select and can include both learning paths and events.

When both types are available, up to two upcoming events are shown first (sorted by start date, earliest first). Further recommendations then include relevant learning paths.

To view and open your learning recommendations, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Your skills page or the Skill library.

  2. Select a skill or chapter. This opens a sidebar that contains the learning recommendations that are relevant for the specific skill or chapter.

  3. Optional: Use quick filters. Use the chips to show only Learning paths or only Events. Selecting both (or none) shows both types in the event‑first order.

  4. Click on a recommended learning path or event to open it.

Viewing atoms for a chapter

Below the learning recommendations, you may see a list of atoms that belong to the currently selected chapter. This gives you a direct option to study sub‑topics of the chapter.

  • Atoms with content are clickable and open directly in the classroom so you can learn the materials attached to that atom.

  • Atoms without content are shown but cannot be clicked.

  • If no atoms exist for the selected chapter, the atoms section is not shown.

Note: Atoms appear in the sidebar when the learning recommendations panel is visible for the selected chapter.
