Exploring a skill profile
Once you open a skill profile, you will see:
Title and description: The title and a brief description of the skill profile.
Skills and chapters: A hierarchical tree view of all skills and chapters included in the profile. For each chapter, a target proficiency level is given.
Profile score: Located at the top right, this score indicates the percentage of of the skill requirements you have already mastered. This is calculated as the sum of your chapter ratings (which may not be higher than the required target level) divided by the sum of the target proficiency levels for all chapters.
โExample: The skill profile contains two chapters, both with a target level of 3. Your self-rating for both chapters are 0 and 4. The profile score will be:
โ(min(0, 3) + min(4, 3) / (3 + 3) = 0.5
Filtering skills in a profile
Depending on the skill profile configuration, one or two quick filters are available to filter the skills in your skill profile:
Show only priority skills: Skill profiles may include skills marked with high priority by your managers. Use this filter to display only the skills marked as high priority. This filter is only visible, if the profile contains at least one priority skill.
Show only skills with content: Display only the skills for which learning content is available on the platform.
Rating your skills in the profile
You can rate your proficiency in specific chapters of a skill using a scale from 1 to 5, where the levels are defined as Aware, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. The level of the chapter rating will influence your learning recommendations.
Tip: You can set or update your self-rating directly within the tree view or by selecting a chapter to open the sidebar, where you can adjust your rating. Ratings can only be set on chapter level, not on skill level.
View learning recommendations in your profile
Learning recommendations appear in the right sidebar after you've rated at least three chapters within the skill profile. If desired, click Show me recommendations anyways
to see suggestions before rating three chapters. Note that these may be less accurate. The more skills you rate, the more precise the content recommendations become, allowing for more efficient learning.
By default, learning recommendations are displayed that are tailored to help you master the skills and chapters included in the profile. To focus on a specific skill or chapter, simply select the desired item. The learning recommendations in the sidebar will then update to show content relevant to the selected skill or chapter.
