Learning activities dashboard for team managers

Analyze engagement and compliance for your teams with metrics, filters, and raw data tables

Updated over a month ago

The Learning activities dashboard helps team managers analyze engagement and compliance across the teams they manage. It consolidates KPIs, charts, and raw data for learning paths, events, journeys, and mandatory trainings that are in scope for your teams.

Who can use this feature?

  • Available for users who are manager of at least one team.
Learn more about roles and permissions here.

  • Available on All Plans

  • Available on Desktop

Note: The Learning activities dashboard can be disabled for your organization by your edyoucated account manager. If disabled, team managers will not see the dashboard in Team management.

Important: Data shown in this dashboard is limited to users who belong to the teams you manage. You cannot view data for users outside your teams.

Note: Dashboard data refreshes nightly. A badge next to the dashboard title shows when the data was last updated.

Accessing the learning activities dashboard

In the main navigation on the left, click on Team management. Then, click on Learning activities to open the dashboard.

The Learning activities dashboard is divided into five tabs:

  • Metrics: Provides an overview about the key metrics of your team members.

  • Raw data - Learning paths: Displays a comprehensive list of your team members and their learning path progresses in a tabular format.

  • Raw data - Events: Displays a comprehensive list of your team members and their event-related data in a tabular format.

  • Raw data - Journeys: Displays a comprehensive list of your team members and their journey progresses in a tabular format.

  • Raw data - Mandatory trainings: Displays a comprehensive list of your team members and their assigned mandatory trainings in a tabular format.

Dashboard filters

Four filters are available at the top of the dashboard. These filters apply to all data and visualizations in each of the five tabs mentioned above:

  • Date: Select the time period for which you want to view data. The default value is This year.

  • Team: Filter data by the teams that you are a manager of. The list shows only the teams you manage.

  • User: Filter by the user name.

  • User role: Filter by the user role (e.g., Owner, Member, etc.).

All active filters are considered in the data displayed and in any exports or downloads.

Metrics tab

The Metrics tab is organized into several sections, each providing different insights:

  • Overview

  • Costs

  • Details

Overview section

The Overview section displays eleven key performance indicators (KPIs) and a visualization.

KPI

Below the KPIs, a bar chart visualizes hours learned over time, broken down by learning type (default: Week):

  • Hours learned (learning path): Time spent in learning paths.

  • Hours learned (event): Time spent in events.

For time‑based charts, use the aggregation control in the top‑right to switch the time grouping (e.g., Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year, Day of week, Day of month).

Cost section

The Cost section provides insights into the financial impact of events. Only events that are not in Draft or Canceled status are included in the cost calculations.

  • Budget: Sum of the Annual budget defined for the teams in scope (based on the Team filter). Visible only if at least one team budget exists.

  • Remaining budget forecast: Budget minus all cost categories within the current filters (can be negative). Visible only if at least one team budget exists.

  • Incurred costs (attended): Cost for users whose attendance was confirmed.

  • Incurred costs (no attendance): Cost for active registrations that did not attend (no‑shows).

  • Approved costs: Cost of approved but not‑yet completed training.

  • Requested costs: Cost of requested but not‑yet approved training.

Costs by category and remaining budget forecast: Shows the four cost categories along with the remaining budget forecast for the filtered scope. Remaining budget forecast appears only when at least one team has an Annual budget.

Costs by category and date: A stacked chart shows the four cost categories over time, aggregated by the event start date. Use the aggregation selector (e.g., Week, Month, Quarter) to change the time grouping; the control works the same as in other charts.
